REGIONE MARCHE. ISTITUITO L’OSSERVATORIO EPIDEMIOLOGICO AMBIENTALE.

Una nuova struttura interdipartimentale opererà tra Sanità e Ambiente. E' l'Osservatorio Epidemiologico Ambientale (OEA) ufficialmente istituito con deliberazione, approvata dalla giunta regionale nel corso dell'ultima. L'Osservatorio, collegato alla Rete Epidemiologica delle Marche, sarà reso operativo attraverso un accordo tra l'Agenzia Regionale Sanitaria e l'ARPAM (Agenzia per la protezione ambientale) dove troverà sede nella fase di avvio, con personale del Servizio di epidemiologia Ambientale del dipartimento provinciale di Ancona. L'OEA avrà competenza su tutto il territorio regionale per il controllo di qualità dei dati ambientali e sanitari, la gestione del data base epidemiologico ambientale, la valutazione del rischio sull'inquinamento ambientale, la sperimentazione di forme di sorveglianza sanitaria e ambientale delle popolazioni residenti in siti inquinati, nonché, tra gli altri compiti, la conduzione di studi di epidemiologia a livello regionale.
Con questo fondamentale strumento di monitoraggio permanente si chiude un cerchio e soprattutto si rimette al centro dell'attenzione la valutazione sanitaria dei rischi ambientali.
