“A vent’anni away - says Amagliani - racism has not been defeated. Indeed it has been nurtured and empowered by a cultural we all underestimated the extent. Law 94 and the security package, promoted and approved by a majority that supports the Berlusconi government, represent a quantum leap towards the generalized criminalization of all migrants. Grave is also the current policy of rejections, besides disturbing from an ethical point, is at odds with the right of asylum, constitutionally guaranteed, and with numerous international and EU standards. " According Amagliani "we must give voice to Italy of rights and law, due not only to prevent racist and xenophobic, but also anti-democratic in this country. The event of 17 October is a very important appointment to make a place in this trend. " Many associations and organizations present in the Marche region (among others, ANPI, Arci, CGIL, Italian Refugee Council) has requested membership of the Region, "to support and encourage the wider participation of citizens in the Marches."
