Il Consiglio regionale della Toscana ha approvato a maggioranza la legge di tutela del benessere degli animali. La legge, come aveva ricordato il presidente della commissione Sanità , Fabio Roggiolani (Verdi), «ha lo scopo di tutelare il benessere degli animali, combattendo le forme di maltrattamento e di abbandono». Nella nuova law, "agreed with the Regional Council, with the order of veterinarians and other stakeholders," said Roggiolani, maintain the register and the rules on stray dog, already in the Regional Law 43 of 1995, but are defined procedures and skills more appropriately and accurately.
